Local Offer Drop In for families living in the Manchester City Council area
Manchester Youth Zone
Wednesday 13th September, 10am till 12 noon
We’ll be back in Harpurhey for our next Drop In at Manchester Youth Zone.

Address

931 Rochdale Road, Harpurhey, Manchester, M9 8AE. Manchester Youth Zone is a large building on the crossroads. Harpurhey Shopping Centre is directly opposite.

Getting there by public transport

There are two bus routes very close:

Rochdale Road: 17 (Manchester-Rochdale, 18 (MRI-Langley), 53 (Cheetham Hill-Pendleton), 163 (Manchester-Bury)
Moston Lane: 52 (Failsworth-Eccles/Trafford Centre), 716 (Plant Hill-Netwon Heath)

The nearest Metrolink tram stop is Abraham Moss (1.4 miles). Use TFGM’s Journey Planner to help you plan your route.

Parking & drop off

There is parking on the roads nearby and a short stay parking (maximum 4 hours) at Harpurhey Shopping Centre. People can be dropped off near the building.

Find us in the building

Come into the main entrance, where you’ll need to sign in. We’ll be on the ground floor in the Centre’s main area – you’ll see us as you go through.

One of the best things about the Drop Ins is the chance to talk to other parent carers. The Manchester Parent Carer Forum (MPCF) and Manchester Parent Champions will be there to offer support, along with parents from other groups.

We’ll be joined by SEND services for children and young people up to 25. This includes SENDIASS for your education questions. If you are looking for stuff to do in the local area, there’s Short Breaks staff. (Contact the team separately for Short Break Reviews.) Other services that regularly attend include Rodney House Outreach Service, Lifted Carers Centre, Equal Education Chances, the Caribbean & African Health Network (CAHN), About Me, and Phil Samphire, Travel Trainer. We usually have an Educational Psychologist from One Education offering slots.

Further drop-in sessions coming soon10am-12 noon

Manchester College, Audenshaw Campus, Wednesday 18th October

Woodhouse Park Lifestyle Centre, Wythenshawe, Wednesday 15th November
