This year’s Chorlton Arts Festival submission from Barlow Hall has been created by our Reception children and they have been inspired by the work of the French artist Henri Rousseau. Linking with their learning on Africa they have painted cardboard animal heads, designed their own rainforest leaves and monoprinted leaf shapes to create two panels inspired by Rousseau’s most famous artwork SURPRISED!
These panels will be showcased in the windows of Barlow Moor Community Centre during the festival which starts next weekend, 17th to 25th May 2025.
It would be lovely for as many of our school families to visit and celebrate the work of some of our youngest artists.
