This weekend our Muslim families and community will celebrate Eid al-Adha one of the two blessed Eids that Muslims celebrate. It follows the end of the annual Hajj pilgrimage period, and is known as the “Feast of Sacrifice”.
As part of the celebrations Barlow Hall will be hosting two EID events on Tuesday 18th June, and children can come into school wearing their party clothes and those children celebrating EID can take part in a fashion show to showcase their new Eid clothes.
The fashion show is only for the children to attend, not parents, but after school on the same day, we will be hosting an Eid gathering in the school playground. Organised by a group of our parents and our Parent Support Advisor, Sharon Drinkwater, the event will include food stalls (£1 charge) and Mehndi painting and tattoos (50p). We are also hoping to have a pre-loved uniform stall outside where parents may be able to find some uniform for September.
The gathering will take place from 3:15 to 4:15.
All welcome.
