SILVER: RIGHTS AWARE

 

Rights Respecting Schools Award- Silver

 

Barlow Hall Primary School was very excited and proud to announce that on Friday 3rd May we achieved our silver award following an accreditation visit by Pat Peaker from UNICEF.

Pat was very impressed with Barlow Hall and the work that has been going on about the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and particularly enjoyed watching lessons in Year 5 and Reception and speaking to the children about what they had been doing in school with regards to learning about their rights,

We gave thanks to everyone who was involved during the visit and to the parents who also met with Pat.

We now plan to continue our RRSA journey by working toward the Gold Award.
