Year 3+4 'WOW'ed by the Egyptians!

This year's WOW starter to their Egyptian topic saw the children researching pyramids and finding out more about mummies and the mummification process. They also did their own wet-felting,

Working with the artist Christine Burdin, from a company called The Art Room, the children used sheep's wool to create their own felt pieces. They decorated their felt with either designs incorporating The Eye of Horus (an Egyptian God), or a desert scene. The felt pieces turned out really well and will be used to form the topic's display.

The children had a great day and learned a lot of interesting facts to support their learning throughout the the remainder of their topic.
