World Book Day at Barlow Hall

As always, reading plays a prominent part in the life of Barlow Hall and this week's World Book Day celebrations were very well supported by our cildren. This year the focus was on female authors with children being encouraged to base their costumes on characters from books written by female authors.

Children from Reception class were asked to dress as characters from Julia Donaldson's books whilst the rest of the school were given free reign to choose their character from a wide range of authors.

The brilliantly costumed children started the day by taking part in a whole school Readathon aimed at promoting reading throughout school.
