Reading Focus 3 - The Barlow Hall Reading Bus

Thanks to a National Lottery Grant, school fundraising with the help of our parents and students and some hard work from staff, parents and students we were finally able to launch our fantastic reading bus at the start of World Book Day week.

Aided by the vision of Ms Roche and the artistic skills of Mr Guttadauro a bright, cheerful, stimulating and comfortable space has been created for children to sit and read a wide variety of books under the watchful eyes of the Young Leaders who look after the books and ensure that the bus is kept tidy and books are looked after and put away neatly and properly.

During this week's launch the bus has been opened to parents at the start and end of the day to allow them to sit on cosy cushions or seats and read with their child, all who have taken part in these sessions have thoroughly enjoyed their family reading sessions and we hope to continue to run the sessions for more people to enjoy.

Thank you to all those people who supported our fundraising or helped to create this fantastic space and special thanks to Ms Roche for her commitment to the project.
