Getting healthy is definitely on the menu with our School council Peer Educators

School Councillors as Peer Educators

The School Council and Miss Johnson have launched a Healthy Lifestyle Campaign across school.  Maintaining a healthy lifestyle includes being sugar smart and not exceeding the recommended daily intake of sugar. To encourage out pupils to maintain a healthy lifestyle we would like them to share ideas for healthy low sugar snacks. Barlow Hall will be entering a healthy snack competition.   School Councillors across Manchester are collecting healthy snack recipes to collect as many healthy snack ideas as possible.  The recipes will be entered in a competition.  If they get chosen they will be published in a school recipe book that will be handed to all schools in Manchester.

It would be fantastic if our recipes got published so start thinking of some ideas and enter the competition.  The snacks need to be tasty, easy to make, look nice and contain good sugar swaps.  Please include the following in your entries:

The name of the snack.
The ingredients.
Precise clear instructions for how to make the snack.
A photograph of the snack.

Please ensure your child's entry has their name, age and school on it.

[☺] The closing date is Thursday 28th March.  There will be a small prize for the best entry from EYFS, KS1, LKS2 and UKS2.

Good luck to everyone from Miss Johnson and The School Council.
