Be Internet Legends

At Barlow Hall Primary we are committed to educating children in how to stay safe online and how to be responsible users of the internet.

This year we have introduced the Be Internet Legends Initiative as part of the school's ongoing commitment to educating our children on online safety. It is an educational programme that empowers young children to be safe and confident explorers of the online world. The scheme of work is supported by Parentzone and combines interesting lessons with some wonderful educational games provided by Google's Interland.

As part of this, children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 will be receiving an activity tube to take home which contains all the parts to build their own Legend. It is a family based activity where children will need to answer questions about being safe on the internet to unlock instructions for building their legend. Phases will be handing out further information on this via email.

The website below has information for parents to support conversations linked to online safety and tells you more about the project.
