IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL PARENTS - Coronavirus advice, support and protocols

Updated Department for Education Advice for Parents March 16 2021

Update to guidance for parents

On 16 March, the DfE published a collection of guidance for parents and carers of children attending early years settings, schools and colleges. This collection brings together information and guidance for parents on:

  • essential information for the spring term
  • coronavirus testing
  • clubs and out-of-school settings
  • home schooling and remote education
  • support for children and young people

The guidance now includes additional information to support parents considering elective home education for their child. It also includes information on arrangements for pupils to quarantine on arrival in the UK.

This year there are changes to the daily operation of the school for families, please refer to the full details in our update Parent Protocol which can be found in the download below and attached to the School Cal message sent out to all parents. The Protocol also contains a link to the latest Government Guidance for parents which can be accessed by clicking on the link.

Information in our Parent Protocol includes: arriving and pick up arrangements, our curriculum, communicating with school staff, safety measures in classrooms, communal areas and outdoors, lunchtimes, behaviour and safety, safeguarding and visitors.

In order to minimise risks we will be staggering start and finish times for different classes. Children in reception, years 1 and 2 will start at 9 am and finish at 3 pm. For children in years 3, 4, 5 and 6 we will start school at 8.45 and finish at 3.10pm.

If you have children in different classes with different starting and finish times, all children in the family will start at 8:45 am and finish at 3:10 pm. It is very important that everyone is punctual.

We will be offering Breakfast club from 8 am and After School club 3 pm to 5 pm for working parents only. Places must be booked at least 24 hours before and will be strictly limited.
