The school council has been running now at Barlow Hall for a number of years and is really important to the children at our school. This is because they know it is their chance to have a voice about things that happen in school and make changes which really benefit them, our local community and the wider world. Some of the work the school council have been involved in includes:
Educating their peers about the importance of maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Pupils from across the school entered a healthy snack competition.
One of pupils won the competition which led to their snack being published in a healthy snack book which was distributed to schools across Manchester.
Organising for pupils to support their local community by bringing in donations for a local charity called Cornerstone.
Raising money for Children in Need by running a talent show.
Supporting the school with achieving the Silver RRSA.
